The Project

The Cité Bleue is a new international meeting place focused on the arts.

Its goal is to promote the creation of shows featuring the greatest artists in music, theater, dance, visual arts, and circus. At the intersection of these disciplines, a more general humanistic desire wishes to put interdisciplinary exchanges between Arts and Humanities at the heart of the project. Currently under renovation with contemporary equipment adapted to the needs of artists, the brand-new hall will be equipped with unique acoustic technology (Constellation system) in Switzerland that will enable the research and experimentation of new artistic possibilities.

Under the auspices of  The Cité Bleue Foundation, the general direction has been entrusted to the Swiss-Argentine harpsichordist and orchestra conductor Leonardo García Alarcón. Choosing the appointment of such an important performing artist as the head of an artistic institution is quite unique.

Throughout the seasons, Blue City will offer musical theater, pocket operas, chamber music recitals, educational activities, dance and circus, hybrid forms through an innovative approach to these disciplines. The future programming of Blue City envisioned by Leonardo García Alarcón and his team is ambitious and innovative, nourished and stimulated by encounters, artistic practice, and interdisciplinary exploration of the worlds of art.
